- Place the Adsense ads at the top central position of your web page directly beneath your header banner or on the top left position . These are the most read areas of a page due to human's reading habit. Embedding the ad in an article is also an effective technique to increase the click through rate.
- Do not accept the default settings of Adsense ads . Remove the border on adsense so it does not look like an ad and make sure the background color of the ad matches the background color of your web site. Match the link color of the ad to the same color as you use for your main body text as well. This will reduce the chance that visitors unconsciously reject them as they do to normal online advertisements.
- A search box on every page gives you another chance for earning Adsense income.
- Add your site to relevant directories and get your site indexed in search engines to build link popularity.
- Add fresh content to your site regularly or write your own articles and submit them to article directories to increase your site traffic.
- Your website must have useful contents to keep visitors stay longer and read through more pages so that the chance of earning more Adsense income increases.
- Try to place images near the Google ads to draw visitors' attention towards those ads.
- If the ads being generated by Google's Adsense are not relevant to your website, visitors will not click on them. You may do some keyword optimization on your web pages by tweaking the text on the title tag, h1 heading, filename and increasing the number of occurrences of the keywords in the text of the web page.
